Fashion Camp 2021 & Covid-19 Safety

Hi Everyone!

We are so excited to see a light at the end of the tunnel on the pandemic. We get closer everyday, but are not quite out of the woods until we reach herd immunity. Given that, we are still observing some Covid-19 Safety Protocols. Keeping your precious kids safe is our most important responsibility. I hope you will partner with us on these protocols to ensure the safety of all of our campers, staff and volunteers.

Are Masks Mandatory?

Yes. Our staff and volunteers will be masked and we expect all campers to wear their masks too, since not all students will have been vaccinated by the time camp happens.

Will you be asking for proof of vaccination?

No. However, we strongly encourage those who are eligible to get vaccinated as soon as they are able, to protect themselves and our community.

What is the check in procedure?

Parents will need to wear a mask when escorting their children into the building each day. Your child will complete a quick health screening and be asked to sanitize hands before going into the classroom. No parents will be allowed in the classroom.

Will you be enforcing social distancing?

We will have three students at each 8-ft round table (normally a table this size seats 10). Every table will have hand sanitizer available. Supplies will be shared this year and frequent hand sanitizing will be encouraged.

I am waiting on results from a Covid-19 Test. Can I still come to camp?

NO. If you have a test pending, you should quarantine until a negative result is received.

I had a close contact with someone who is Covid-19 positive in the last 10 days. I have not been tested. Can I come to camp?

NO. If you have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, you must quarantine for 10 days or until you receive a negative test result. Close Contact is defined as being within six feet of someone who has Covid-19 unmasked for at least 10 minutes, or having someone in your household who has tested positive in the last 10 days. If this is you, please quarantine and get tested as soon as you can.

I have weird symptoms like a runny nose & cough. I’m not sure if it’s allergies, a cold or Covid. Can I still come to camp?

Please stay home if you feel under the weather. Regardless of what you have, it might be contagious and the best thing to do is stay home & take care of yourself to prevent spreading it around in the community.

Will these same protocols apply to all OFW events this summer?

Not necessarily. We are in a very fluid situation as we look at vaccination rates vs. the spread of variants. We are always taking community spread, vaccination rates, and local Covid-19 Safety mandates into account when making decisions about how best to protect our fashion community. At each event, we will release new protocols on our blog so guests and participants are prepared to keep themselves and each other safe. Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility on these matters. Your safety is our number one priority.
