Hi Families!
Thank you for dropping off your kids on time and prepared for camp today. What a great start to Omaha Fashion Camp! Below are what your kiddos learned today with photos from the day:
Littles (ages 6-11)
Began the day with introductions and icebreakers to build connections with each other.
Next, they learned how to thread a needle and create a stitch by hand.
Then, learned how to sew a four-hole button.
Teens (ages 12-17)
Started with icebreakers and a questionnaire to build connections with each other.
Learned how to thread a needle, create a stitch by hand, and sew a four-hole button.
Created a hand-sewn button garden, followed by a hand-stitched button pouch bag.
Introduced mood boards and Brand Identity, and why they are important in the fashion industry. Including examples of current fashion brands that are cohesive in their brand.
Reminder to have your child bring a light sweater or jacket since the building does get chilly! We will provide a nut-free snack and a water stations for campers each day, but they must bring a refillable water bottle.
See you tomorrow!
